Ariel Sharon vs. Barack Obama: A Case Study in Leadership

By: Dr. Mark Christian

Ariel Sharon, a rare man of conviction, may you rest in peace.  You were the first to rescue your Israeli soldiers who were stranded on the front line during the 1973 Yom-Kippur war.  This is in contrast to our current American leader, who went to bed and then off to a fundraiser in Las Vegas while knowing that Americans were under fire in Benghazi.

As published at Gateway Pundit:
Ariel Sharon, Commander of Israel’s 134th Division, in the initial moments of the Yom Kippur War (unprovoked attack by Egypt), calling to reassure his men.
Recorded on a field phone:
Sharon: “This is commander. You recognize my voice? Do you know who I am, right?”
Sharon: “Okay, look, guys. I…we’ve only just got here. Now I intend to make every effort to get you out. Ahh…I don’t want to leave you there under any circumstances. In a little while, I will call you and tell you what we are going to do.”
After the Yom Kippur war was over, Commander Sharon wouldn’t rest until those Israeli soldiers who’d been taken prisoner were released.
COMPARED TO…
Barack Obama, President of the United States, on the night of the attack on the U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya (unprovoked terrorist attack), responding to the situation.
According to Dan Pfeiffer, a Senior Obama Advisor, in an interview on Fox News.
“…the president was in the White House that day; he was kept up to date by his national security team. He spoke to the secretary of defense and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs earlier, the secretary of State later. And as events unfolded, he was kept up to date.”
Obama went to bed.
Prime Minister Sharon, may you rest in Peace and may your people be encouraged knowing that yours is the spirit of the Jewish people and the Zionist state. The world is a better place for having had a man of your character in it.
